We are focused and persistent to reiterate occupational health, safety and working environment of all interested parties is our top priority and a fundamental aspect to drive safe and business excellence.

Corporate Performance Management

At Sendan, Quality is integrated into our strategy. Business units have their annual strategic business plans which are enabled by Operational Plans from the Support Units. These plans are reviewed periodically by Top Management through its Corporate Performance Management process. We have also adopted the use of Balanced Scorecard across all functions and have bintegrated it to our Quality Management System.

Employee Training and Involvement

Quality is everyone's business at Sendan. We regularly conduct training and educational programs to enhance the knowledge of our managers and employees on various Quality-related best practices and standards. Our Suggestion System enables the employees to get actively involved in continually improving our processes.

Continual Improvement

We continually improve our organizational processes through regular monitoring, quality audit, measurement and analysis of results against targets and by introducing various improvement initiatives. Each Department Head at Sendan is required to develop and implement a Continual Improvement Plan. We have Operational Efficiency Committee composed of selected members of Management team who champions, keeps track, reviews improvement initiatives.

SENDAN has a long-standing commitment to the highest standards for health and safety of our employees, clients, contractors, suppliers and the general public as well as for the protection of the environment in the communities in which we live and work.

Our strong commitment towards HSE is embodied in a clearly stated HSE Policy. Compliance to our HSE Policy is vigorously promoted through training and education and strictly monitored through regular inspection and audit.

HSE Competence Development programs are in place & being implemented across SENDAN. Our Management conducts regular Site Visits & Cross Functional Inspections as tools to ensure that HSE Policy and standards are complied upon and relevant HSE messages are clearly communicated to all workforces. We have our HSE annual Training Plan which are being strictly implemented and closely monitored. We have also developed an in-house HSE Training Center to enable regular HSE training and education of our employees.

SENDAN has been awarded as Best Contractor in several of our projects and has received various Safety Awards and Appreciation which shows the high level of commitment from our Management and employees towards HSE compliance. Internally, we also provide appropriate awards and recognitions to selected employees who serve as good examples in promoting our HSE policies and practices.

At SENDAN, we systematically monitor HSE practices daily using our Safety Observation Report System. Through our SOR System, good practices and improvement opportunities are documented and resolved on time. It enables closer collaboration between our HSE personnel and Project Management team towards implementing strong HSE practices in our work sites. It also reinforces positive safety behaviors which will lead to having strong Safety Culture within the company.

SENDAN has a separate and independent HSE Corporate Department having over-all responsibility in promoting HSE across the organization. It serves as a main hub for communicating, controlling, and supporting HSE teams in all our projects.

Zero Accident" being a prime slogan and objective behind all the HSE efforts, SENDAN has done its best throughout its journey to stick to this objective. To achieve this objective, HSE training programs, awareness sessions, campaigns and awards ceremonies are being regularly conducted. In addition, strict monitoring has made it possible to minimize the number of occupational injuries, illnesses, accidents etc. Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment Studies and Method Statements have significantly contributed to preventing occupational accidents.
